The JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® XC Procedure
The JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® XC procedure is performed during a brief office visit. While sedation is not required, patients may have a topical anesthetic applied to the cheek area in order to reduce discomfort during the injection process. Following the treatment plan developed during the consultation process, Dr. Pin will carefully inject JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® XC into the cheek area to enhance the volume of the mid-face. Overall treatment time is usually 30 minutes.
JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® XC Recovery
Since JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® XC does not require surgery, patients will not need to take time off from work after the injections are performed. Apart from avoiding strenuous physical activities for the first 24 hours or so, patients can return to most of their normal daily activities without interruption.
JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® XC patients are asked not to rub, touch, or massage the cheeks for a few days after treatment to ensure optimal results. For the next two weeks, patients should prevent direct sun exposure to the face, refrain from using facial products that contain alcohol, and try to avoid extreme hot or cold temperatures.

The results of JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® XC should be apparent following the injection procedure, with greater volume and shape to the cheeks and mid-face. The patient's appearance should continue to improve in the days after the procedure.
